Deep Sea Fishing
Our deep sea fishing charters are the perfect 1/2, 3/4 day or full day adventure for you all! We blend adventure, aloha, and the beauty of Kauai’s open ocean. Share laughs, catch fresh island fish, and experience Hawaii’s rich fishing traditions while enjoying stunning coastal views and unforgettable time together on the water. And remember, the goal is always a catch of a lifetime!
All fishing tours will depart rain or shine. Sea conditions vary year-round, but as long as there are no marine offshore warnings posted, your trip is going to depart. Please understand that we fish in exposed waters and consider Kaimanu a "wet boat." Guests that prefer to stay dry will have an area to sit away from splash zones, but for the most part, expect to be in the fun of the elements.

- Drinks & Lunch or Snacks (non-glass items including water, juices, sodas, and alcohol are all permitted)
- Towel
- Swimsuit or comfortable clothing. (We consider Kaimanu a “wet boat.”)
- UV protective clothing and/or rain jacket (weather dependent)
- Easy-to-remove footwear
Charter-specific gear (rods, tackle, etc.)
Cooler with ice for storing perishables
Pupus (light snacks, water and coconut water)
Life vests
Please feel free to bring along any food that you might want for the day or let us know if we can help provide lunch items (typically, for an additional charge of $15/order).
You'll have access to a large cooler with ice for storing your items.
Also, if there are any members that are prone to motion-sickness, please take precautions. Call or text for specific recommendations, but know that the captain will be paying close attention and keep all guests in mind when making the route decisions for the day.
Please make your way to the Port Allen Small Boat Harbor half an hour (30min) before your scheduled departure time. We're slightly flexible for departure time, so please let me know if that won't work.
We suggest that someone in your party drop off your crew and belongings that will come with us on the trip at the dock and during check-in, he/she will drive up and park in our designated lot—look for the Ocean Charters Kauai sign on your way in to know where to go for parking--on your way down, the lots are on your left and ours is the last one.
If the Captain deems the conditions unsafe, we will cancel and offer a full refund, or offer the ability to reschedule. At this time, we also adhere to a 14-day cancellation and rescheduling policy for a full refund. Any cancellations or changes to your reservation within 14 days are potentially subject to a full charge and/or a forfeited deposit, unless a valid emergency situation or extenuating circumstance is experienced, communicated and confirmed.
Refunds are not provided for seasickness, early returns, changes in travel plans, missed flights, or other personal circumstances occurring within the 14-hour cancellation window.
